Terms of Use

1. The Service

WorshipConnect is a church management and engagement platform that helps churches welcome people, track attendance, organise teams, communicate with members, and receive giving, across web and mobile apps. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Churches and their content

A church that uses WorshipConnect (“Church”) is responsible for the information it records and how it uses the Service, including obtaining any consents needed from its members and handling their information lawfully. As between us and a Church, the Church owns its data. You must not upload information you do not have the right to use, and you must respect the privacy of members.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or for any harmful, deceptive, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to access another church’s data or any part of the Service you are not authorised to access.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
• Send spam or use member contact details for purposes unrelated to the Church’s ministry.

5. Plans, giving, and fees

WorshipConnect is free for churches up to a stated size; larger churches require a paid plan as described on our pricing page. Paid fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Giving and other payments are processed by third-party payment providers; their fees and terms apply, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services (for example payment, email, and notification providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Fortbridge Technologies Ltd and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain all rights to your own content.

8. Availability

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, and we may suspend or limit the Service where reasonably necessary.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorshipConnect and Fortbridge Technologies Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WorshipConnect and Fortbridge Technologies Ltd from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if reasonably necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the right to use the Service ends; a Church may request export of its data before deletion, subject to our reasonable retention needs.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Nigeria will have jurisdiction, unless a different mandatory law applies to you.
